November Power Rankings
This Ladle will be the third straight I have played in and I feel sufficiently qualified to give my thoughts on the clubs and players competing in it. I hear a lot about how fortress is opening up again, how … Continue reading

In Praise of Real Attacking
Exceptionally rare was it that a player defending in Ladle 38 got cut by an attacker. Attacking consists today of holing, shrinking and killing sweepers. The primary goals of attackers are to establish some sort of player advantage. Once an … Continue reading
Just talkin' 'bout m-my g-g-g-generation
Ladle 35 was our best ladle so far. We won against uNk (and Liz), a team that made it to finals in Ladle 34. Everyone could see that our defense, sweep and attack worked. I’m not going to claim that … Continue reading

Sweepers Win
The last Ladle was won by sweepers, and that is a first. Centers have won Ladles, attackers have won Ladles and defenders have won Ladles, but sweepers got their first in Ladle 30 and are poised for a repeat. I’m … Continue reading
Well On the Way to Victory
As the Speeders team was pulling ahead to a Ladle victory, most could see they were doing something differently. A statement of fact, if someone is in the same business as you and doing better than you, they are doing … Continue reading

Fortress tutorial updated
Guess what, I’m still alive. And I just updated the fortress guide and (for future use and easier linking) it got it’s own static page and is available here. I’ll have a look at the layout tomorrow or next week, … Continue reading
